Steve's Big Buck

Chris' brother, Steve, got a huge deer over the weekend (Friday or Saturday). It has 11 points and almost a 20 inch spread. The taxidermist has the head and has given a date of Nov of 2009 for delivery. Chris went to see Steve today and came back with a huge piece of tenderloin! I've put quite a few packages of venison in the freezer and look forward to trying some soon with some biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Fall 2008

We took a ride through West Augusta County on route 250 through Churchville today. We had ridden bikes there in September and I wanted to go back during the fall to take pictures at one of the pull offs. Enjoy these pictures. I wish we had gone there a week or two ago. It's colder there than here and the leaves were past their peak. Maybe next year.

We had dinner at Applebee's in Staunton before heading home.
