Lego Play!

Russell discovered some of Christopher's Legos and has been playing with them most of the weekend. I've posted some pictures of what he has been working on. He had a lot of fun working on these and spent a good portion of yesterday doing this. After completing these he donned his pirate costume and ventured outside headed to his next imaginary pirate adventure.


I tried to get them all in this picture but didn't! He had the floor full of them!

Mike, Nett and Cal are headed back to the OBX. We'll see them again in a few weeks when they'll be back to Nelson! Cal is such a cutie. We all had a lot of fun with the family and it was sad to see them leave.

Chris mowed the lawn and used the weed eater. It looks so nice. It's probably been almost three months since we had to mow. All of this rain changed all of that and everything looks so pretty and green. Too late for my garden though - maybe better luck with one next year!

Next weekend we've been invited to a gathering in Faber. A friend of mine has had this gathering for many years and there are always a lot of people there. There is always a variety of food too. Some of the things we'll find are chicken feet (plain and barbecued, bear meat, pork, venison, beef and a variety of other dishes.) I hope we are able to make it to this one. It's been a few years since I was able to go. Mama went with me to the last one and we had a really good time.
