Chris was stung on the forehead by a bee Sunday when we were out riding the bikes. Thankfully we were on our way home. Didn't bother him much but when we got ready for bed he looked in the mirror and noticed the swelling. When he got up Monday morning his eyes were swollen shut. Needless to say he didn't make it in to work. He's much better tonight and did make it in to work today.
We were on our way home from visiting Mary in MJH. She was admitted a week ago on Thursday. The tests revealed more cancer in her lungs and she was receiving treatment for that. The chemo had reduced one of the tumor's by half its original size. When she was admitted to the hospital they diagnosed her with pneumonia and put her on anti-biotics. In addition to the cancer, she has COPD. The anti-biotics have caused her to break out in a rash and itch so they are giving her Benedryl. She is also on morphine for pain. I spoke to her daughter, Bunnie, Sunday night and the doctor's have told the family there is nothing more they can do for her mother. When we were visiting on Sunday Mary never woke up - we were there a little over an hour. Please pray for her to recover and regain her strength so she can resume her chemo treatments. It was hard to watch Mary lying there because it reminded me of when David was in the hospital during his last days with us and watching Chris' Dad during his last days. Both David and Mr. Haney had COPD.
As I mentioned above, please pray for Mary to recover from the pneumonia and regain her strength so she can resume her chemo treatments.
